tiles :
- Milling - In this
process, clay is placed into a batching plant. A special type
of clay is also put into a clay crusher to be processed. Stone,
which comprise of feldspar and kaolin, is put into a stone crusher
to be refined, before being transferred to the batching plant.
The refined clay and stones are then put into a tube batching
plant are tranferd to the miling machine to be refined which will
later be mixed with auxiliary material.
- Mixing - The raw material
and auxiliary material are homogenously mixed with water according
to the specified composition in the ball mill (body mixing) for
about 7 hours. The result is a muddy pulp called slip.
-
Drying -
After having been mixed into slip, the mixture is spraydried
in order to form a powder with 0.28% moisture content. The powder
is then stored and ready for pressing with a press machine.
-
Pressing -
the powder is pressed by press Machine at a pressure of about
a thousand ton per square meter.
-
Coloring &
Designing - to form required size of tiles , the floor tiles
are colored and designed using silk screening (located in the
printing machine), and then stored in transfer cars for a while
before firing.
-
Firing -
The firing process is to harden the tiles. These tiles are heated
in a roller kiln for about 40-45 minutes, depending on the size
and type of the tiles. As a general rule, the more color and
design involved, the longer the tiles are heated.
- Sorting - From firing,
The tiles are sorted by sorting machines to separate the good
tiles from the defective ones. The company also uses computerized
machine to ensure the exact size of tiles.
-
Packing -
The final process is where tiles are packed according to the
specific size and quality, stored in a warehouse as finished
goods ready for sale.
